My Story

At the age of 40, unfit and overweight, I set myself the challenge of competing in triathlons,
all while balancing a successful career and family.

Trying to find a personal trainer was difficult and in the end I gave up, most personal trainers are in their 20s and focus mainly on weight training and getting buff in the gym, they also lack endurance sport experience which is what I needed.

Training across three disciplines, managing work and family, and pushing through the toll triathlon takes on the body without letting life fall apart was difficult at times.

That’s why I don’t just offer coaching plans — I provide real-world training and life guidance to help athletes like you succeed in endurance sports while still thriving in your career and family.

Whether your goal is a 5k parkrun or a full marathon, a 40k charity bike ride or a 100-mile sportive, a sprint triathlon or a full Ironman triathlon, weight loss, or even recovery after an operation — I can help you achieve your goal.

Who Am I ?

Hi, my name is Nyall Monkton and I live in Tewkesbury.
This is me completing a recent standard triathlon in the heavy rain.
As well as a personal trainer, I teach various exercise classes in Tewkesbury and Cheltenham.

For 2026, my two A events are the Slateman and Sandman Triathlons, both in North Wales so the courses will be challenging.

I have completed numerous triathlons, including Iron distance events, 10k swims, 100k cycle
sportives and running events including marathons.

I aim to bring all this experience I have gained over the last 13 years and help you achieve your fitness goals.

I am a fully qualified personal trainer and exercise class instructor.
